Tree is metaphor of a living being which is alive but cannot move. It symbolizes human’s transient physical existence and disability to get rid of it. The violinist and the tree are representing two aspects of One (one unit/one being): aspect of physical existence “in reality” represented by the installation of tree, and aspect of inner world represented by performer that has ability to grow and move transcendently without limits, but it’s still being limited by dimensions of physical world, so that existence without limitations and absolute freedom can be only considered as an utopian concept.
